Corporate Swag & Branded Merch Bags Wholesale: Totes, Backpacks & Conference Giveaways
Published: 2026-09-02 | 10 min read
Corporate swag - branded bags given to employees, event attendees, and customers - is a quiet but huge B2B bag category. A conference tote, a laptop backpack with a logo, or a reusable shopping bag with a brand print doubles as advertising that travels for years. For importers and promotional resellers, the category is attractive because orders are large, repeat, and less seasonally volatile than fashion. This guide covers the best swag bag styles, MOQ, pricing, and sourcing from China.
Why Bags Are the Best Swag
A bag is the only promo item people actually choose to reuse, so the impression lasts. It pairs naturally with corporate gift bags and custom corporate gifting programs, and a logo tote at a trade show becomes a walking billboard.
Top Swag Bag Styles
- Conference tote. The classic event giveaway; canvas or non-woven, big print area.
- Laptop backpack. Premium employee/onboarding gift; see the backpack manufacturing guide.
- Reusable shopping bag. Eco angle; often rPET or cotton.
- Crossbody / sling. Younger, event-appropriate; our custom logo bags guide covers branding.
Branding Methods
- Screen print. Cheapest for simple logos; great on totes.
- Embroidery. Premium feel on backpacks and canvas.
- Woven label. Subtle, high-end; sewn into the bag.
- Full sublimation. All-over print for bold campaigns.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best bags for corporate swag?
Conference totes, laptop backpacks, reusable shopping bags, and logo crossbodies are the top swag choices because they get reused and keep the brand visible.
What is the MOQ for branded swag bags?
Non-woven totes start around 500 pieces, cotton totes around 300, and laptop backpacks around 200. Volume orders drop the unit price quickly.
How much do promotional bags cost wholesale?
Non-woven totes run $0.60-1.50, cotton totes $1.50-4.00, and laptop backpacks $6-14 FOB depending on material and branding.
Which branding method should I use?
Screen print for simple tote logos, embroidery for premium backpacks, woven labels for subtle high-end, and full sublimation for bold all-over campaigns.
Can swag bags be eco-friendly?
Yes - rPET or cotton totes with soy-based inks are common and on-message for sustainability programs. Keep the material cert if claimed.
Buyer's decision brief: Corporate swag bags wholesale
Timing is the real risk with Corporate swag bags wholesale. Event and seasonal orders have a hard date that cannot move, which means the buffer has to be built into production rather than shipping. Book the slot early, approve samples promptly, and avoid changing artwork after the pre-production sample — at that point every change costs days you do not have.
Gift, favour and promotional bags are bought on a deadline and judged on presentation. That changes the spec: the priority shifts from long-term durability to clean printing, consistent colour across the run and packaging that looks finished on arrival. For Corporate swag bags wholesale, confirm the print method against the material before quoting — sublimation only works on polyester, and low-cost screen inks can crack on coated fabrics.
What buyers actually need from Corporate swag bags wholesale
Gift, event and promotional bags are bought against a fixed date and judged on presentation. That moves the priority from long-term durability to clean branding, colour consistency across the run and packaging that looks finished on arrival.

Specification points that decide quality
- Artwork format and print method must be confirmed against the fabric before quoting.
- Colour consistency across the whole run; re-runs rarely match the original dye lot.
- Presentation packaging is part of the product in gifting, not an optional extra.
- Build the schedule backwards from the event date — timing, not quality, is the usual failure.
Two checks before you approve bulk
- Approve a physical printed sample, not a digital mockup, before bulk.
- Check colour under the lighting the items will actually be handed out in.

Mistakes buyers make with Corporate swag bags wholesale
- Choosing a print method incompatible with the chosen fabric.
- Leaving artwork approval too late and compressing the production slot.
- Under-ordering for an event; re-runs rarely match the original dye lot.
- Forgetting that presentation packaging is part of the product in gifting.
